It is with great sadness, we are sharing that Robert Sarkissian, a dear and respected Cadence colleague, passed away on February 24.ย
Robert was part of the Customer Success Organization and held the Account Director position for 7 years at Cadence.

Robert was based out of his home office in Georgia, supporting the Aerospace, Defense and Government market. He was a driving force behind our team's growth, leading strategic engagements, shaping CHIPS-aligned microelectronics initiatives, and elevating Cadence's role across major government and industry programs.
He was far more than a colleagueโhe was a trusted friend, unselfish, a guiding mentor, and a true legend in the Electronic Design Automation (EDA) community.
Robert dedicated over 45 years to advancing microelectronics and space-related technologies. His groundbreaking contributions included critical work supporting NASA programs and even foundational technologies tied to the Apollo missions, helping push the boundaries of what's possible in extreme environments.
What truly set Robert apart was his unmatched passion-for microelectronics, for space exploration, and for sharing his vast expertise with others. He was the person everyone turned to for insight, guidance, and unwavering support. Always generous with his knowledge, reliable in every sense, and deeply committed to lifting up those around him, he embodied the best of our industry. His presence, generosity, wisdom, and infectious enthusiasm will be profoundly missed by colleagues, friends, and the entire EDA and aerospace community. Robert's legacy of innovation, mentorship, and dedication will endure for generations to come.
